away we go. not such a great movie. seriously. seemed like a sure thing. *firstly, the movie is miscast. as much as i love john krasinski on the office, he’s doing this goofy, bumbling husband thing in this movie, and it just doesn’t work, at least with him in the role. the movie is set up realistically but none of the characters are realistic. the script bounces around somewhere between coen brothers and robert altman, but mendes paces it and cuts it like family vacation. it didn’t work at all for me.
